Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone triage using clinical protocols
- Provide accurate medical advice and prioritize patient urgency
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists for complex cases
- Maintain detailed electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Coordinate patient transfers and emergency referrals
- Delicate patient education on home care and preventive measures
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active California RN license (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
- BSN degree preferred (ADN accepted with commitment to BSN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Exceptional communication and active listening skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure during emergency situations
- Strong computer literacy with EHR systems
