Responsibilities
- Conduct initial patient assessments via phone or in-person to determine medical urgency
- Apply standardized triage protocols to prioritize patient cases effectively
- Document patient information and clinical observations accurately in EHR systems
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to coordinate patient care pathways
- Provide clear, empathetic communication to patients and families during stressful situations
- Maintain strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance standards
- Participate in continuous training to enhance clinical judgment skills
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) or currently enrolled in final semester
- Active Texas RN license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (training provided if needed)
- Exceptional communication and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and multitask efficiently
- Strong commitment to patient-centered care and ethical practice
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
