Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone and telehealth triage protocols
- Prioritize urgent cases using ESI (Emergency Severity Index) criteria
- Coordinate care between patients, providers, and specialty departments
- Document encounters in Epic EMR with 99% accuracy
- Provide health education to patients and families
- Collaborate with physicians on treatment plans
- Participate in monthly quality improvement reviews
Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina (or ability to obtain immediately)
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- BLS certification (training provided if needed)
- Exceptional communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations
- Commitment to patient-centered care philosophy
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends
