Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity using Emergency Severity Index (ESI) protocols
- Coordinate with physicians and specialists to prioritize critical cases
- Document patient histories and vital signs in Epic EMR system
- Provide clear instructions to patients and families while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Collaborate with charge nurses to optimize department workflow
- Maintain supply inventory and equipment readiness for triage stations
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California (CA RN)
- Minimum 3 years emergency department experience
- ACLS, BLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficiency in electronic health records (Epic preferred)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills in English and Spanish (bilingual preferred)
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
