Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity using standardized triage protocols
- Collaborate with physicians to prioritize emergency cases
- Document patient histories and symptoms accurately in EHR systems
- Provide clear instructions to patients and families during high-stress situations
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and emergency department protocols
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for seamless patient flow
Qualifications
- Current Nebraska RN license (or compact state license)
- Minimum 2 years emergency nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Experience with EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Ability to remain calm under pressure in fast-paced environments
