Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize emergency cases using ESI protocols
- Utilize telehealth technology for remote patient triage across rural Alaskan communities
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Provide patient education on emergency procedures and follow-up care
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Mentor new staff during clinical rotations
Qualifications
- Active Alaska RN license (or compact state license with quick endorsement)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience (ER/ICU preferred)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-stress environments
- Experience with electronic health records (EPIC preferred)
- Commitment to completing 12-week paid training program
