Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough telephone and in-person patient assessments using standardized triage protocols
- Prioritize patient cases based on medical urgency and acuity levels
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to develop appropriate care plans
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records
- Provide clear, compassionate guidance to patients and families during critical moments
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for triage processes
Qualifications
- Current New York State RN license (or willingness to obtain during training)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience (ER/urgent care background a plus)
- BLS certification (required) and ACLS certification (preferred)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure emergency environments
