Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments using standardized triage protocols (ESI)
- Prioritize patient cases based on acuity and department resources
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to develop treatment plans
- Document patient encounters accurately in Epic EHR system
- Provide clear discharge instructions and follow-up coordination
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact license)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (PALS preferred)
- 1+ years ER or urgent care experience (new grads welcome with training)
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication in English/Spanish (bilingual preferred)
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
