Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments using Emergency Severity Index (ESI) protocols
- Collaborate with physicians to prioritize patient flow based on acuity
- Provide initial interventions including wound care, medication administration, and diagnostic testing
- Document electronic health records with 100% accuracy within 15 minutes
- Mentor new staff through our clinical ladder advancement program
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California (CA RN)
- Minimum 2 years emergency department experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with 5+ years ED experience considered)
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems
- Exceptional triage decision-making skills
- Strong communication abilities in high-stress environments
