Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures with precision
- Process and label specimens according to HIPAA and CLIA regulations
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Operate centrifuges and lab equipment safely
- Ensure sterile techniques and infection control protocols
- Provide patient education during blood draw procedures
- Collaborate with lab and clinical teams for seamless workflow
Qualifications
- Current Arizona Phlebotomy Technician certification (CPT or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in phlebotomy
- Strong knowledge of venipuncture techniques and specimen handling
- Excellent interpersonal skills for patient interaction
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced medical environment
- Basic computer literacy for EMR documentation
- Valid CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 15-20 lbs
