Responsibilities
- Assess and prioritize patient calls and walk-ins using clinical judgment and protocols
- Provide accurate medical guidance to patients via telephone and in-person consultations
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to ensure timely patient disposition
- Maintain detailed electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Educate patients on appropriate care pathways and resources
- Monitor patient flow and adjust staffing needs dynamically
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current California RN license (required)
- Minimum 3 years emergency/urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications (must maintain)
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Experience with Epic EHR or similar systems
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Excellent communication and de-escalation abilities
- BSN or higher preferred
