Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity and prioritize care in high-volume emergency department setting
- Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement patient care plans
- Utilize EHR systems to document assessments and interventions accurately
- Provide education to patients/families regarding treatment protocols and resources
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency preparedness drills
- Maintain compliance with JCAHO and emergency department protocols
Qualifications
- Current Illinois RN license (required)
- Minimum 3 years emergency/trauma nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications (must maintain)
- BSN degree or higher preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication abilities in high-stress situations
- Experience with Epic EHR system preferred
