Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity using standardized triage protocols (ESI, ATP)
- Coordinate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams for rapid patient disposition
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Provide critical patient education and discharge planning
- Oversee emergency department flow and resource allocation
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain compliance with JCAHO and NY State regulations
Qualifications
- Current NY State RN license with minimum 3 years ED experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- BSN or higher degree preferred
- TAS or ENPC certification strongly preferred
- Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills
- Experience with Epic EMR system
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
