Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize cases based on acuity levels
- Collaborate with physicians to develop appropriate care pathways for emergency patients
- Utilize EHR systems to document clinical findings and maintain accurate patient records
- Provide clear communication to patients/families regarding wait times and treatment plans
- Maintain compliance with TJC and emergency department protocols
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Support disaster response and mass casualty incident protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Tennessee or compact state
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or critical care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- BSN preferred (ADN candidates with 5+ years ED experience considered)
- Exceptional triage and clinical judgment skills
- Strong proficiency in Epic or comparable EHR systems
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
