Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and medical history to determine urgency and appropriate care level
- Provide accurate medical advice via phone, email, and telehealth platforms
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to coordinate patient care
- Maintain detailed electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Manage patient flow and communicate effectively with all stakeholders
- Implement triage protocols adhering to emergency medicine standards
- Educate patients on home care and when to seek emergency assistance
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact state)
- Minimum 3 years ER or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication abilities in English and Spanish preferred
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (MSN preferred)
