As a Triage Nurse, you will be the critical link between our patients and our medical providers. You will assess patient needs, prioritize care, and ensure seamless communication within the clinical team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct Clinical Assessments: Utilize evidence-based protocols to evaluate patient symptoms via phone, email, or secure messaging portals.
- Prioritize Care: Differentiate between urgent, emergent, and non-urgent cases to direct patients to the appropriate level of care.
- Provider Coordination: Facilitate timely communication between patients and physicians to ensure treatment plans are executed efficiently.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Education: Provide patient education on self-care, medications, and follow-up instructions to promote health literacy.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of nursing experience, preferably in a triage, telehealth, or urgent care setting.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a strong emphasis on patient empathy.
- Technology: Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (Epic experience is a plus).
