Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity and prioritize emergency cases using standardized triage protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans
- Document patient assessments and medical histories accurately in EMR systems
- Provide clear communication to patients and families regarding treatment pathways
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and JCAHO regulations
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency response drills
- Support new staff through mentorship and orientation programs
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Minnesota (or compact state)
- Minimum 3 years emergency department or critical care experience
- Valid BLS and ACLS certifications
- ENPC or TNCC certification preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Epic EMR systems
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments
