Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive phone and video-based assessments to determine patient acuity and urgency.
- Prioritize patient care based on triage protocols and clinical guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare providers.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and treatment plans accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Provide patient education and discharge instructions to ensure continuity of care.
- Handle high-volume incoming calls with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of nursing experience, preferably in emergency medicine or triage.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong computer literacy and experience with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make critical decisions quickly.
