Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity and prioritize emergency cases using standardized triage protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely patient care
- Document patient encounters accurately in EMR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Provide education to patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Monitor vital signs and recognize changes in patient condition requiring immediate intervention
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency response drills
- Maintain inventory and equipment in triage area for optimal patient flow
Qualifications
- Current California RN license with unrestricted status
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficiency in Epic or similar EMR systems
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- Spanish language skills highly desirable
