Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity and prioritize care in a fast-paced emergency department setting
- Utilize clinical judgment to determine appropriate patient disposition and care pathways
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely interventions
- Document patient assessments and care plans accurately in electronic health records
- Provide compassionate communication to patients and families during critical moments
- Maintain compliance with emergency department protocols and regulatory standards
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current Missouri RN license with unrestricted status
- Minimum 3 years of emergency department or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Strong assessment skills and ability to make rapid clinical decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Ability to work effectively in high-stress environments
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
