Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize medical urgency using established protocols
- Provide telehealth and in-person triage for diverse patient populations
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to coordinate patient care
- Document patient encounters accurately in EHR systems
- Delicate emergency response coordination during critical situations
- Offer health education to patients and families
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (compact license accepted)
- Minimum 2 years ER or urgent care experience
- ACLS/BLS certification (required)
- Exceptional critical thinking and assessment skills
- Strong communication abilities in English and Spanish
- Experience with Epic EHR systems
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
- Calm demeanor under high-pressure situations
