Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity and prioritize emergency cases using ESI protocols
- Conduct rapid physical assessments and obtain accurate medical histories
- Collaborate with physicians to determine appropriate care pathways
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for seamless patient flow
- Maintain precise documentation in Epic EHR systems
- Provide patient education on emergency procedures and follow-up care
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact license)
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficiency with triage protocols and emergency assessment tools
- Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Experience with electronic health records (Epic preferred)
