Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments and prioritize care based on medical urgency
- Provide expert telephone triage and virtual health consultations
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to develop patient care pathways
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Educate patients on symptoms, home care, and when to seek emergency care
- Coordinate patient flow across departments for efficient care delivery
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and emergency protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (compact license preferred)
- Minimum 2 years clinical nursing experience
- Triage or emergency department certification
- BSN or higher degree strongly preferred
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in Epic or EHR systems
- Strong communication abilities with diverse populations
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
