Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments and determine acuity levels using standardized triage protocols
- Provide telehealth and in-person consultations to evaluate symptoms and recommend appropriate care pathways
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and care teams to coordinate patient flow and resource allocation
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation with precise medical coding
- Delicate crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques in high-pressure emergency situations
- Train and mentor new staff on triage procedures and department protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Kentucky with minimum 2 years emergency/urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications (or obtain within 30 days)
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Experience with telehealth platforms and remote patient monitoring
- Bachelor's in Nursing (BSN) preferred
