Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize cases in emergency department triage
- Accurately document medical histories and vital signs using EHR systems
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to develop treatment plans
- Provide patient education on emergency protocols and discharge instructions
- Monitor patient flow and department efficiency during peak hours
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and hospital protocols
Qualifications
- Current California RN license with at least 2 years ED experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Experience with electronic health records (Epic preferred)
- Excellent communication and de-escalation abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
