Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize cases in emergency department triage
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to develop appropriate treatment plans
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records
- Provide clear communication to patients regarding wait times and care protocols
- Maintain compliance with JCAHO and departmental standards
- Support crisis intervention protocols for high-acuity cases
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years emergency department experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong proficiency in EHR systems (EPIC preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm under pressure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
