Responsibilities
- Assess and prioritize patient calls using clinical judgment and established protocols
- Provide accurate medical advice over the phone for urgent care cases
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
- Maintain detailed electronic health records (EHR) and documentation
- Handle high-pressure situations calmly and efficiently
- Train new staff on triage procedures and best practices
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California (CA)
- Minimum 2 years of emergency room or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Exceptional communication and critical thinking skills
- Proficient in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
- Spanish bilingual preferred but not required
- Experience with telehealth triaging a plus
