Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive initial assessments and triage of patients based on acuity levels.
- Document patient histories, symptoms, and triage decisions accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Provide clinical guidance and education to patients regarding home care and follow-up appointments.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure seamless patient flow.
- Monitor patient queues and prioritize care based on medical urgency and protocols.
- Ensure all triage protocols and regulatory standards are strictly followed.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered RN license in the state of New Jersey.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in triage or emergency department nursing.
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; CEN or TNCC preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems.
