Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize care based on acuity levels using standardized protocols
- Provide accurate telephone triage for patients seeking emergency care or medical advice
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure timely patient flow
- Maintain detailed electronic health records with precise documentation
- Educate patients on home care instructions and appropriate follow-up care
- Monitor and respond to changes in patient conditions during triage process
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives for emergency department operations
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Florida
- Minimum 3 years of emergency department or urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
