Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize cases based on medical urgency
- Provide accurate triage recommendations to emergency physicians and care teams
- Document clinical observations and patient interactions in EMR systems
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient flow
- Delicate patient education on treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and hospital protocols
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Kentucky RN license with unrestricted status
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong assessment and critical thinking abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR)
- Ability to work efficiently in high-stress environments
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with equivalent experience considered)
