Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough phone assessments and triage of patient symptoms via phone and secure messaging platforms.
- Evaluate patient vital signs, medical history, and current complaints to determine the appropriate level of care.
- Document all patient interactions, diagnoses, and treatment plans accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare providers to facilitate timely care.
- Provide patient education regarding medications, symptoms, and home care instructions.
- Manage high call volumes efficiently while maintaining a compassionate and empathetic demeanor.
Qualifications
- Current and active RN (Registered Nurse) license in the state of North Carolina.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in clinical triage or emergency department nursing.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with EMR/EHR systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to make sound clinical judgments under pressure.
