Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone and triage to determine appropriate medical urgency
- Collaborate with physicians to prioritize patient care and allocate resources
- Maintain accurate electronic health records using Epic EHR systems
- Provide clear medical guidance to patients and families during high-stress situations
- Coordinate with emergency departments and specialty clinics for seamless patient flow
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact state)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ER or urgent care
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
