Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough telephone and in-person patient assessments to determine medical urgency
- Apply triage protocols to prioritize patient care effectively
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to coordinate patient flow
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Provide clear medical guidance to patients and family members
- Manage emergency situations with calm professionalism
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current Alaska RN license (or willingness to obtain immediately)
- BSN preferred; ADN candidates with 1+ years ER experience considered
- Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Commitment to completing our paid training program
