Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough telephone and in-person patient assessments to determine medical urgency
- Utilize EHR systems to document patient information and prioritize care workflows
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to develop appropriate treatment plans
- Provide clear, empathetic communication to patients and their families during stressful situations
- Maintain accurate medical records while adhering to HIPAA and regulatory standards
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for triage protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Pennsylvania (or willingness to obtain)
- Minimum 1 year clinical nursing experience (ER/urgent care preferred)
- Excellent critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (Epic/Cerner)
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
