Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and medical history to determine urgency of care
- Provide accurate telephone triage and medical advice per established protocols
- Coordinate with physicians and emergency departments for patient transfers
- Maintain detailed electronic health records and documentation
- Educate patients on home care instructions and follow-up procedures
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient flow
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current RN license in California (or willingness to obtain during training)
- 1+ years of clinical nursing experience preferred
- BLS certification required (ACLS preferred)
