Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity and prioritize emergency cases using standardized protocols
- Obtain detailed medical histories and conduct focused physical examinations
- Coordinate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams for seamless patient flow
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records and documentation
- Provide patient education on emergency procedures and care plans
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and hospital safety standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in New York State
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates considered with experience)
- 1+ years clinical nursing experience in acute care setting
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and de-escalation abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Basic ECG interpretation and emergency medication knowledge
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required within 90 days of hire)
