Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize cases based on acuity level
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
- Utilize EHR systems to document patient histories and vital signs accurately
- Provide clear communication to patients regarding treatment protocols and wait times
- Implement emergency protocols for critical conditions including stroke, trauma, and cardiac events
- Maintain triage logs and ensure regulatory compliance
- Train and mentor new nursing staff on triage procedures
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nevada with 2+ years emergency department experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Expertise in rapid assessment and critical decision-making
- Proficiency with Epic EHR systems
- Strong communication skills with ability to de-escalate situations
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Experience in high-volume Level I trauma centers preferred
