Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications on time and report any changes in health to the nursing team.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious and appetizing meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Companionship: Engage clients in conversation, hobbies, and light exercise to promote mental well-being.
- Household Assistance: Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, bed making, and cleaning to ensure a safe living environment.
- Transportation: Drive clients to medical appointments, grocery shopping, or social events as needed.
- Documentation: Accurately complete daily logs and care plans to track client progress.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED: Required.
- Valid Driver's License: Must have a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
- CPR and First Aid Certification: Preferred but willing to train the right candidate.
- Experience: Prior experience as a Home Health Aide, CNA, or Personal Care Assistant is a plus, but we welcome new graduates with a strong heart.
- Compassion: A genuine desire to help others and a patient, empathetic demeanor.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Background Check: Must pass a background screening and drug test.
