Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide essential companionship and emotional support to improve the client's quality of life.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and assist with light housekeeping.
- Administer medication reminders and monitor client health status for any changes.
- Document care activities accurately in electronic health records and report concerns to supervisors.
- Transport clients to medical appointments, social events, or grocery shopping.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment for all clients.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification is preferred but not always required.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable personal transportation.
- Previous experience in caregiving, nursing, or a related healthcare field is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and a drug screening.
- Demonstrated compassion, patience, and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
