Job Summary:
The CNA Weekend Shift Specialist will provide direct patient care, assist with daily living activities, and ensure the comfort and safety of our residents. This role is critical for maintaining high-quality care standards during peak weekend hours.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during visits.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure patient safety and prevent falls.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding as necessary to meet dietary requirements.
- Document patient care activities, including changes in condition, in accordance with facility protocols.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing team to report any changes or concerns immediately.
Qualifications
- Current and active Washington State CNA License and registration.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Previous experience in a long-term care, assisted living, or hospital setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to professional standards and ethics.
- Physical ability to lift, stand, and move patients for extended periods.
