Responsibilities
- Monitor Patient Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates as directed by nursing staff.
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Provide compassionate assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility for patients in a dignified and respectful manner.
- Patient Hygiene & Comfort: Ensure patients are clean, comfortable, and safe by assisting with toileting and changing linens as needed.
- Charting & Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records and logs of patient behavior and condition using our electronic health record system.
- Communication: Serve as a key liaison between patients, families, and the medical team, reporting any changes in patient condition immediately.
- Infection Control: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and hygiene standards to prevent the spread of infection.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current, valid State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.
- CPR/BLS: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers is mandatory.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care facility is preferred but not required for qualified candidates.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift patients (up to 50 lbs), and perform physical tasks associated with patient care.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
