Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance as needed.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning to prevent pressure ulcers and ensure safety.
- Communicate changes in patient conditions to the Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse immediately.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and assist patients with feeding if necessary.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized environment for patients and staff.
- Document patient care activities and daily progress in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Current and valid California State CNA License (required).
- CPR/BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (must be up to date).
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory for qualified candidates.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help patients.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients weighing up to 250 lbs.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
