Responsibilities
- Provide basic medical care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure) accurately.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding patients with dietary restrictions.
- Administer medication as prescribed by a nurse or physician and maintain accurate medication records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the nursing team to ensure continuity of care.
- Document patient progress and care plans in electronic health records (EHR).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients.
Qualifications
- Current and active Florida State CNA License.
- CPR/BLS Certification (American Heart Association) required.
- Previous experience in a home health, assisted living, or hospital setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate demeanor.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs when assisting patients.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
