Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring in and out of bed or wheelchairs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all residents and patients.
- Document patient care plans, changes in condition, and daily activities accurately in medical records.
- Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and families regarding patient status and concerns.
Qualifications
- Current and valid CNA certification in the State of Colorado.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or home health setting is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as required by the job.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient dignity and care.
