Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Assistance with Mobility: Safely transfer and ambulate patients using proper techniques to prevent injury.
- Medication Administration: Support the nursing staff by reminding patients of medications and documenting any changes in condition.
- Hygiene & Environment: Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients to promote health and comfort.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between patients, families, and the medical team, reporting any concerns immediately.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and valid CNA certification and state license required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of medical terminology and basic life support (CPR) certification.
- Personality: Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping others.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliability: Must be punctual and able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
