Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition accurately in medical records.
- Assist nurses with medical procedures and ensure a clean, safe environment for patients.
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding patient needs and updates.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Texas CNA Certification (State Board of Nursing approved).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS certifications (where required by facility).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients (up to 50 lbs).
- Clean background check and drug screening required.
