Key Responsibilities

Your primary focus will be delivering high-quality patient care and assisting the nursing staff to ensure smooth hospital operations.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
  • Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a respectful and dignified manner.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during their stay.
  • Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Assist with meal planning and feeding patients who require special dietary accommodations.
  • Transport patients to and from diagnostic tests, therapy sessions, or surgical suites as directed.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitized, and safe environment for patients and staff in accordance with hospital infection control protocols.

Qualifications

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license currently active in the State of Texas.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not required for urgent hires.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and physicians.
