Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Provide compassionate care and emotional support to patients and their families during challenging times.
- Prepare and serve meals according to specific dietary restrictions and nutritional plans.
- Report changes in patient conditions, symptoms, or unexpected behavior to the Registered Nurse (RN) immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment to prevent infections and ensure patient safety.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the RN or physician, strictly adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Valid and current Ohio CNA license (CNA-I or CNA-II).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not always required for top candidates.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs safely.
- CPR certification is a plus.
