Responsibilities
- Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assistance with Procedures: Support RNs and LPNs with wound care, specimen collection, and administering medications as directed.
- Hygiene & Comfort: Ensure patient rooms are clean, safe, and comfortable; assist with mobility and transferring patients safely.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic health systems (EHR).
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient status changes and needs to the nursing staff and families.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current, unencumbered CNA license issued by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
- Education: Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant training program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS):> Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is highly preferred.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment; ability to stand for extended periods.
