Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, respiration) accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist registered nurses with medical procedures, treatments, and medication administration as directed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment to prevent infections and ensure comfort.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team regarding patient status.
- Document patient progress, changes in condition, and care provided in electronic health records.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergencies to ensure safety and well-being.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Tennessee CNA license.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to lift, move, and transfer patients safely (up to 50 lbs).
- Previous experience in a long-term care, hospital, or rehabilitation setting preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.
